There is rumor that layoffs are on the cards
It's true. Layoffs will affect Tarrytown, Glasgow, Flanders and especially LA.
Centaur has finally and officially been chosen as DX's platform of choice. It's Vit. D assay was finally approved this past week for US market.
Immulite is basically dead now. Vista has problems.
Siemens wants to get its IMAGING Division setup in newer facilities (CrossPoint in LA is on short list).
Major cost cutting events are finally on the schedule for the next 3 months.
It's also the main reason Michael R's quarterly video is long overdue. The "no confidence" vote from analysts regarding his multi-million DX overhaul really was the icing on the cake. Insiders have leaked Germany's disappointment and concern from shareholders. At the last quarterly shareholders meeting in Germany, Loescher, was asked by analysts when he'll start selling off pieces of Healthcare and take the lesser loss now.
Siemens was also downgraded again yesterday.
DX has been a train wreck from inception.
Financial analysts already have put their two cents in on Michael R's new reorganization and it ain't pretty.
Next two years they forcasted an annual growth curve of 1.9%.
The really bad part of it is this is for all of Siemens Healtcare including IMAGING. Can you imagine if it was DX alone. Probably in the negative again as last year.
Siemens is not putting up with this any longer.
By early next year I'd suspect a good 500 DX employee's will be packaged. That includes 200 from LA.
All of this is two years overdue.
Not a rumor. LA big time. East coast Tarrytown and Glasgow more of a shakeup.
Part of fine tuning DX in an effort to stop the financial loss and stop losing customers.
You'll here more about it as end of year closes in. By end of January pinkslips will be flying. Most packages will contain three months of work (LA). Less than that for Tarrytown.
Michael R. is at his wits end.
