I guess this explains the surveying and other subtle construction activities going on in Flanders.
Yes, it's true. Memo's came out today.
Over 400 layoffs are scheduled over two year period.
It's expected, few if any, will relocate to Flanders plant.
Truth is, both Siemens and Flanders Management don't want people to relocate...just to leave.
Lets see which is the next site to close.
If there is to be a move, Siemens had better pray that all the manufacturing documentation is in place in a way to allow for a smooth transfer. No jargon, plant specific information, three-letter-acronyms, etc. Nothing left out on the assumption that 'everybody knows that'. If a transfer is to occur, and if it goes like the one from LA to Llanberis did, the failure will probably be fatal to Siemens diagnostics. Word of advice to Siemens: make sure, damned sure, you have a good transfer plan and experienced (in transfers) people to carry it out. Be skeptical when you review plans and ask tons of question to make sure they will work. Keep asking 'what could go wrong and how will we deal with it'. And good luck.
it is true, Brookfield moving to Flanders. End date 09/30/2016
The new building in Flanders is going to be 120k sq. ft. First floor, manufacturing space and new loading docks. Second floor, offices. Saying it will take two years to complete.
OR a physical plant expansion could be part of putting lipstick on a pig. Bayer did that by starting Gen-A-Mess prior to selling DX to Siemens.
THAT IS CORRECT
who cares if it is true, this is entertainment for a holes
It is only possible to post negative things here. Since it a rumour mill, it is not possible to be positive about anything.
Humour ... ar ar ar
this is a perfect example of why the rumor mill is dumb.
"good bye Brookfield" -wrong, in fact this was already proven wrong when you posted it
"Too bad Flanders..." -wrong, at least it wasn't out there when you posted it. but it goes to show that people ONLY want to post negative.
Too bad Flanders, Siemens will choose Mishawaka Indiana. Nice and cheap place to do business.
good bye Brookfield
Flanders of all places? IF they stay there that would make Flanders the center of instrument development.
