Another engineer goes through the revolving door...
Well the pin head has been gone for over a month now nad no one has realised hes gone except payroll.. what the hell did he do except sit in the corner and mess things up? He must take the dubious title of most inept employee at Siemens and let me tell you need to be pretty bad to win that accolade as there is a lot of competition for that role, the one thing Siemens is good at is employing layers and layers of inept managers!
He used to speak to his mates and wife for hours on end and arrange basketball, holidays etc what did you want him to do....actual work?

One engineer from Siemen joined Roche in Australia - he is new so still in honeymoon period but he will find challenging when RDA MD PC who was on 3rd of the news paper beating his ex (google and you find him there with his monkey face), gets stuck into him - particularly if he is smart. Intelligent and smart people don't have a chance with PC who revels with mediocres.
Dont worry he will be fine....not smart in any way shape or form! Will fit in nicely by the sounds of it
Plenty of Eng jobs over at Abbott!
Where is MO going? and why?
Roche and why do you think?
PP AND SD next to go...
That's what you get when you have a Bozo in charge.
"Siemens are so desperate they are "importing" more UK engineers - that worked really well last time.."
The one that's going - 'Sonic the Hedgehog' is a single site boy, if they think he will last long trucking all around oz then they are making a big mistake (again). But I hear Siemens Australia service management are uniquely skilled in doing that!
MO exiting VV soon
Whats going on no one has left for a few weeks now does that mean things are picking up or no one is left there to leave?
Siemens are so desperate they are "importing" more UK engineers - that worked really well last time..
I guess all those who left were not tough enough.
If they really did pay AL $$$ to come back it's a dangerous road to be heading down. Sure it keeps one isolated customer happy but at what price? Surely keeping guys from leaving in the first would have made more sense! After all, if everyone else is gone (or going), how are the remaining customers going to be looked after?
Why would you stay, if you're rewarded for leaving? It's certainly one way to test your true worth to the company!!
Sounds smart to me. I also do hairdressing on the side, could I bail to a salon after 8 months?
The last two to do that just used it to get out here - did the time then off to a better life..bit like the convicts you lot sent out..
I am well experienced in Siemens products, how much would they pay me to drag my sorry ass round the globe to the old prison colony? I don't do knock myself out for the company though, work my way so they would have to take or leave it...
Yes, that is exactly what they have done with AL - pay them heaps more $$$$ just to bring them back! What a way to run a service division!!!
I guess they will have to buy experience.
Next to go is PP or SD....Take your pick!! No one left in melbourne who knows what they are doing...Well done RT and KB!
is RT's middle name Arthur = R.A.T
problems are usually where head office is!
So are the problems only in Melbourne, as they appear to be the only guys are leaving?
No one in the industry turns over engineers as fast as Siemens....they are number 1 after all!
True, both Abbott & now Siemens are not treating their support staff well. Suspect Beckman is not much better. That only leaves one main Diagnostic company that is reasonably fair, ie where the Abbott and Siemens Eng's are going from what I can see, clue -starts with R.
The Old Chiron gang needs to go..... this is going to cost siemens dearly!
Big Kev the Bozo, RT the rat what a pair!
That's the way of Siemens management...why is thier competetors turn over of staff so much lower?? - it's about to cost them. Get rid of the old chiron cronies and things may look up - eventually....
If you seriously think that ANY company gives a toss about their techs that conduct the work and smooths the problems created then you are seriously misguided. Train them, burn them out then toss them out the door or wait until they cannot take anymore and leave. That is the way it is with big business unfortunately.
Not to worry, big Kev and his clone RT will fix it all up, infact they are working on the whole picture at the moment...Cant you see the results...In the meantime toughen up boys! And dont forget, if you dont like it here you can of course all leave - we dont need experienced engineers, infact we dont need engineers, we only need sales people... Get it through your head!!! When something goes down, that is what second level support is for... Dont you know by now? Unfortunately it doesnt help those poor customers......
Well done Siemens MT thats 12 people inc 2 service managers from Melbourne in just over 2 years plus a few from other states PY etc a good few of which were product champions, better start and poach some more decent staff from Europe eh before the customers STAMPEDE?
lets just say he has a cousin who really loves fresh Carbonara!
Would that be someone from the "cycling federation" ?
Well if you don't like it you can leave... that's a quote from one Senior Manager at Siemens.. no wonder there is a que to get out!
Still don't see anyone from Roche, Abbott, or BCAL going there. That says volumes about a company when their main competitors don't want to work there.
On a positive note, they are paying very high rates to keep/attract staff and that pushes the industry rate up overall...
What the hell is going there?
Confirmed MO leaves the building .......last one out turn off the lights!
Another one bites the dust!
Some are bone fide Engineers with significant practical experience.
So they are not real engineers, but call give themselves the title of engineer. That is not very professional.
And the sales guys are ringing the bell so many times.....
No doubt about it!!! Melbourne HAD some real talent in engineering! Well done Bayer, opps Siemens... Those sales boys will fix it! They are the real experts at the end of the day???? No??
What about the remaining states? Who's left and are there any good ones?
Are they really engineers (Engineering Degree) or just service repair reps?
Ha you think an engineering degree makes a 'real' engineer? most graduates can't fix a sandwich let alone an analyser. And this isn't a component level industry its board/module level stuff, experience - especially of the how specifically the stupid quirky crap is put together, common sense and a nose for what could of gone wrong matter most.
6 make that 11...namely DS,AL,BB,JL,MW,BH,DK,GC,RC,TSL,JohnLplus all the xDPC gang!!! good work Siemens 7 of which were considered experts
What experience is now left in melbourne??? God help the customers!
Siemens Engineering Vic/Tas turnover in the past 2 years 6/13.....
4 engineers who know what they are doing, or 4 employees Siemens call engineers?
ha ha its PP,SD,MO and JT so make up your own mind...
