Another engineer goes through the revolving door...
Boys and Girls its simple... Everyone from Siemens leaves and goes to work for the opposition...But nobody from the opposition - Roche, BC, Abbott, J&J ever wants a job, or will apply for any apps or engineering roles at Siemens... Why????? Same in their imaging business, ask the engineers / apps people who work for the big boys, Philips, G.E, Toshiba, -NEVER apply for jobs at Siemens Med??? Thats why all their engineers are so new... nobody hangs around... Just look at DX!!!
Roche retarded, Siemens spectacular. Even simpler.
Roche rocks, Siemens sucks. Simple.
One works for Roche, one for BD and one for BC, there are so many options.
So you "work" for?
No one works at Siemens... or rather Siemens, it just doesn't work!
one works for Stago one works for GE one works for Diasorin
ps we have a good idea who you are
To all the engineers and apps people -may you all find jobs!
Get a life!!! and move on we have do you have nothing better to do than sit on here like a jilted bride you weirdos
Remember when JR went out there and declared them the ideal working model - perfect work/life balance? lets see that now then eh?
Downsizing - 10 to go in Australia
They are being eaten alive by the opposition!!!
Seems the Cyclists have retired for the winter - getting a bit cold out there boys?
Given plenty away, now the bean counters are starting to take notice.
Its not the winning that matters but the taking part.... have you not learnt anything from the Aussie Olympic Team?
Have the sales (cycling squad) boys sold anything of late?
And the beat goes on....
The story of Siemens DX Autsralia was best summarized by Steelers Wheel:
Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right,
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.
with such memorable other lines like:
Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this smile from my face,
Losing control, yeah, I'm all over the place,
Trying to make some sense of it all,
But I can see that it makes no sense at all,
Rock on Siemens !!!
"There are multiple opportunities out there for those that are talented and motivated"
every one of those opportunities has a couple hundred people chasing it
what are the chances that someone else will fit the minimum requirements and work cheaper?
fact is that now the average time for a skilled professional to actually land a new job is over 8 months
many talented and very motivated folks have been looking for two years or more
job seekers are being advised to dumb down resumes so that they will even be considered
this is real life not hr, management or Oprah Winfrey
wishful thinking, buzzwords and controlling the message dont actually change reality
it just shoves what you dont want to look at under a rug so you can pretend it isnt there
seriously what do empty phrases like "willing to facilitate change" even mean?
sounds like duckspeak for happy to go from senior engineer to min wage do you want fries with that
NimbleGen's demise was caused by several factors. As others have posted, FP really wanted NimbleGen to succeed but did not know how to do so. TA and RS have a lot of great ideas for products but many of them are simply not commercially viable. LW (old VP Bus Dev) was a wheeler n dealer but I am not sure had NimbleGen's best interests in mind. AG( VP of Marketing) gave up pretty early on and didn't seem to have a clear strategy or understanding of the customer's needs. LW and AG were directing R&D efforts in unwise product developments. Fault was not solely within NimbleGen. The RAS sales teams are either incompetent, or have no interest / motivation to sell NimbleGen products.
How can a company succeed when development costs are greater than sales? Why was no attention paid to the fact that sales forecasts were routinely grossly false and misleading? How could the company succeed when it was mandated to develop a diagnostic product that was doomed from the start and had no real possibility of return on investment? Why were the sales teams not held accountable for their failure to sell NimbleGen's products?
What has happened to NimbleGen is extremely sad. Many good people are paying the price for the errors of others. The sales organizations are too powerful to be held accountable. The cowardly approach was to get rid of those that had nothing to do with setting the direction of the company or selling their products. Using a sports analogy, why do you get rid of the team when it's clearly the coaching staff that should be held accountable?
I'm not sure what to think of Pfizer's latest business moves. They appear to be setting themselves up for a catastrophic failure. While other big pharma companies are diversifying, Pfizer is hell bent on selling off or spinning off its more profitable business. They have sold the nutrition biz and are in the process of spinning off animal health. Their strategy is to take some of the money from these activities to buy back shares in order to keep the stock price inflated and the remainder to spend on ELT raises. While most of our block buster products have gone off patent, the CEO and BODs has this unfounded believe that R&D will save the day, but only if they get re-shuffling every 18 months or so. And to top it off, the generic manufacturing sites of Pfizer are expected to keep this top heavy, bloat ship afloat, while at the same time, the ELT demands cost cutting from these very same manufacturing sites and then forces these sites to implement software improvements such as SAP and QTS which lead to less efficient manufacturing processes. It’s like Nero playing the harp while Rome burns.
Oh I agree - my Diasorin reps are just awful. They appear to be taking a lot of us customers for granted - I've nearly had my fill. If things don't Improve - I'm off!
Primary - going nowhere. Taking the Siemens sales people along for the ride.
You are posting on the wrong thread you LOSER go LOSE some more business preferably to us your old company Bayer!(now trading as Siemens) or move on with your life..AS WE HAVE
Siemens Lost - St V's Haem,Peter Mac,and most of NSW.
I agree. A lot of Diasorin staff are overly arrogant for a company that makes one decent assay and a portfolio full of rubbish. A one trick pony I think it's called.
Diasorin seem to like arrogant, rude staff maybe thats why they lose CUSTOMERS?
As a Diasorin customer I'm fed up with seeing different people each time Diasorin makes a call. I've stopped taking business cards as I throw them away too often!
The poor engineers and applications people will get it in the neck...as always! The cyclists are free to do what they like... the revolving door is about to start turning again in victoria... I wonder who will be next to go?
And Siemens lost??
Hate to break this to you but Primary have already signed up as you know, and didnt you lose Healthscope and St Vincent's Vitamin D business?
transfer to Centaur Vitamin D - random number generator....
"Unbelievable but true diasorin Australia have lost a larger percentage of their workforce in less time than siemens Australia! 7 gone out of a total of 11 people in less than 18 months of operation.. maybe a management problem?"
Only a lost moron could have written this. Diasorin is not a place for lost morons.
Ha Ha Ha Ha!! Diasorin Australia is full of morons as far as I can gather and this is the wrong thread to speak about the old Nichols advantage random number generator(Liason)...transfer to Centaur Vitamin D like primary have PS morons is a compliment for the pond life who work at Diasorin
Of course Australians are elitist. And rightly so. You can't live and work down here without feeling a tiny bit superior.
That was a very clumsy thread hijack attempt, by the way.
I didn't know that some threads were supposed to be exclusive and I never thought of Australians as elitists.
Live and learn.
I thought this thread was for former employees who can't get over that there small little worlds in past companies have come to an end, move on, we have and so should you.
This thread is for current and former employees to share their experiences with Siemens. If you want to bang on about some other company, go start your own thread.... you lost moron!
Does the CS 5100 exist?
Thank you Siemens Cycling Team for your customers and Staff,
Rabbit Management team.
someone cant count - but that doesn't surprise me!
Unbelievable but true diasorin Australia have lost a larger percentage of their workforce in less time than siemens Australia! 7 gone out of a total of 11 people in less than 18 months of operation.. maybe a management problem?
Not even the customers.
No one's coming back -
And the circus goes on and on....
Flanders is collapsing . Is Collin M, the lead of BS with his Historian guy, and the director of systems engineering who never studied still talking for hours and hours without saying anything.
Any news on JT's replacement? I hear rumor's someone's coming back! Now that's desperation.... on both sides.
There is little in life that is more worthless than trying to teach a LESSon to a MOR(E)on. [smirk]
Things may really be sucking in Australia, so let's at least have something to smile about once in a while.
