Beckman coulter total success of the DBS cheap policies

Now we found out that they are using all the hands available to inspect defective vials. Lots of them. Imagine how cheap they are that they don't have time to fix thee problem . If your lab needs controls and scal. Sit down and wait. The only part of the company that was " producing" is now affected due to the incompetence of this group of incomparable people. DBS is capable to do the unthinkable. Vials with holes.

"Look up Edward Demmings, an American whose continous process improvement after WWII led to the Toyota's of today. Try implementing that into the paternalistic culture of Beckman an Coulter, and you will see the conflict. The current management of BC needs replacement.

And it was an American who taught the Japanese how to kick our asses, live with that."

And the Japanese might well have whipped the Allies in those days were it not for some Jewish refugees from Europe on the Manhattan Project at Columbia.

For those of you driving BMWs and Mitsubishi vechicles, remember that Mitsubishi developed the engines for the ZERO for the IJN while BMW made the first engines for the Stukas of the Luftwaffe.

The Japanese also have other notions of business apart from Kaizen (改善). One of those notions is: sonshoshi'te nusumi doka, rough transliteration and I can't find my kanji for it--loosely it means look, steal and learn. They would have taken the west coast regardless of Demmings. MacArthur's demilitarization for Japan allowed Demming to present them with a different method of war. So, Demming did not teach them "look, steal, and learn".

It is an inherent mindset of a culture we overall as Americans do not have. Like the Manhattan Project, we just "buy" some one else's innovation rebadge it call it "our own" and say "we win". $hit like "best team wins", "Kaizen is our way of life", "Customers talk, we listened" etc . . . It is like "quality" a term we sometimes like to use . . . :- /

They can steal it from any

They can steal it from any fast food restaurant so may be free too

Next instead of using

Next instead of using animal's blood and synthetic blood
they are going to use ketchup. is cheaper and taste better
and safer to use

That is happening now. And as

That is happening now. And as you see we are right. The more Dhr squeeze the company the worse the output will be.
Keep it up DHR more money less innovation more mistakes and They are interfering with the most basic part of the company and they are going to ruin it fast. Because they just don't know. Is like a mix of bad luck DHR and BCI
together they are like the death sea and Lake Karachay
. The combination of both is the equal to a Polyjuice Potion They are playing with people's life irresponsibly
That is what the do the best

Glass Vials? That was a long

Glass Vials? That was a long time ago...

Did it go something like

Did it go something like this?
Development at old bec tested different materials and ID'd a glass the controls and cals were stable in, found a reliable supplier with a good history, and a deal was made for X cents per vial. No problems and with the profit margin on cals and controls the vial was a trivial expense. The development folks were canned by danaher and a fresh young manager with a shiny new MBA and no science background was brought in. Started looking for a way to reduce costs and make his mark. Noticed the vials at X cents per and found a different vendor who sold similar looking ones for 0.9X cents. Money saved, DBS approach proven right, career advanced. Except- new vendor just imports bulk vials from overseas and doesn't pressure check. In fact it turns out that its always cheaper to print up a passing certificate and cash the check than actually inspect since, statistically, the vials are good enough for most uses most of the time. No one knows what they're made out of but since MBA manager doesn't even know that there are different kinds of glass....
So now bec has to manually inspect every vial to keep the product lines going before customers realize that BioRad also makes controls and cals. MBA manager doesn't actually end up doing much inspecting, but having the "associates" do these kind of repetitive and mindless tasks helps keep them in their place.

Cheap policies getting the cheapest product available. Same thing that happened with the boards, and inspected by the cleaning department. Only experts. Right?

The vials are not made by

The vials are not made by BCI. They are from a supplier and the issue is being corrected. 100% inspection will ensure all good product goes to customers. This has nothing to do with Danaher policies. The supplier needs to be held accountable, and replaced if they can't do better quickly.
