Wow! Can't believe all of these self-righteous people posting here about others using the internet at work. There is not one employee that I have come in contact with at Beckman that I haven't seen on the internet at one time or another. My guess is that every single employee at Beckman and just about every other employee at every other company who has access to the internet uses it and that goes all the way to the top, I'm sure that even the pres. of Danaher uses it. Let's get real here. Very few people abuse the privilage. Biofind's link is even listed on the Beckman intranet!

Sure got quiet since Beckman/Danaher blocked access to Biofind from company servers. Wonder if those folks are actually doing real work, just surfing other sites or got layed off.

Perhaps the Emerging Markets servers should block the Beckman Coulter web site. Certainly Beckman is a bigger hazard to customers and patients than Biofind is to Beckman employees.

What BeckmanCoulter/Danaher management are worried about are the increasing revelations about corruption and discrimination in the U.S operations and abroad. The rumors circulation around the company suggest the plea for Biofind block came from the VP of the emerging markets based in Switzerland because he was loosing his mind with the revelation of the specifics of his mess on the blogs and the demoralization of his circle.

Too late & Duh! This move only gives credence to the rumours - as the previous post points out now we know youre reading it!!!

And now we have your attention, Danaher be warned - customers come here too, such loss of reputation will be hard won back. So instead of trying to get a few more minutes work out of the dummies stupid enough to access the site from work, maybe act on some of the truths posted here. Stop the cover ups & eliminate the poison.

How is HR going to monitor this site if it is blocked?

Blocking Biofind will just cause more employees to become curious and come to see what is going on here.

Have to give the Biofind admins credit, in most cases they have not deleted threads here.

Gosh, I wonder what is on this site that bothers Beckman/Danaher management? Stuff like FDA Warning Letters and product recalls are pretty widely known and are easily obtained from government web sites.

They still have to shut down the utilities and deprive the employees of water so Danaher can meet the criteria for the oppression club. At least we know now that they were reading the blog.

Why would someone block the Biofind site in an entity that is already banned from doing business for a full year? Let those folks read instead of warming the seats all day.

That shouldn't be too suprising as no company wants their "dirty laundry" visible to everyone. Of course all Beckman had to do was clean up the mess and there would be nothing to post here.

In all fairness, it is probably better for employees to be working to solve Beckman's quality & regulatory issues, develop new innovative products and provide superior customer service during working hours.

I worked in several Beckman facilities where I noted a significant amount of employee time was spent on the internet. Everything from house shopping, boat shopping, vacation planning, game playing, personal E-mail, sharing of jokes, etc.

Perhaps Danaher has other ideas about what should be done during work time. A good start would be to require managers and supervisors, even HR, to do their jobs and be better role models for others.

Of course after hours at Starbucks should not be the companies concern.
