The recent all-employee

The recent all-employee meeting was the most pathetic example of management communication imaginable. RC is losing it mentally: mentioning information on why the recent CEO candidate chose not to take an offer in front of 400+ people? He is such a freaking clown! And saying the Board is now letting him "take over" the search? Yeah, as if that will yield anything other than a clone of RC who will treat him like the father/savior he so desperately wishes to be seen as.

Take Beck's lead - get the hell out of this place if you have any self-respect!

Time for an update on the continued purge of talent at ATCC (as opposed to the insecure, moronic scumbags who are behind the purges):

March - the lead marketing manager (the one behind any innovation in their marketing)
May - the only employee who could competently analyze sales data
July - the Chief Marketing Officer
August - the Chief Financial Officer
September- two product managers (who actually knew what they were doing); the only bioinformatician in he organization

Why these exits? They were competent people who refused to tell RC he was a fucking genius each and every day. Hey MK, you have learned well. Only 20 more years and you too can become another Frank-enweenie.

Privately held all he has to do is stroke the board and they take care of him. He once blew about $5M of ATCC money on a misguided effort to go GMP, without having a single human use product in the inventory. Then after about 5 months abandoned the effort, fired the QA/QC staff and went on to "more success".

The irony of the fear-mongers

The irony of the fear-mongers doing their utmost to undermine the talented is that once they "succeed" in ridding ATCC of that talent, those individuals actually look even more capable to their next employer! I cannot thank RC enough for how widely known is his "talent" for thwarting the efforts of those with skills in building business relationships and products that have a tangible ROI. RC's reputation made the accomplishments I managed to eke out during my tenure there way more impressive than they would be coming out of another organization.

Being re-orged out of ATCC is in reality a badge of competency one should wear proudly when seeking post-ATCC opportunities! I venture to say that voluntary termination at this late date might carry with it a bit of a stain - sorry, but your best strategy for leaving now might be figure out how to get yourself involuntarily terminated, at least for the few who have achieved anything that a real business might find of value, that is.

Those of you who have tucked your heads in the sand and waited for sunnier climes or played RC's little evil games willingly may have thought you were playing it safe, but in reality you've locked yourself into your own little cell of hell and threw away the key.

Managing by fear is just the

Managing by fear is just the flipside of not possessing talent. People in positions of power who are without talent often know it, which feeds their inherent insecurity. This insecurity drives them to invent complex organizational structures and processes that provide a smokescreen for their shortcomings. And God forbid that anyone of real talent should rock their world. They will spend all their energy scheming to undermine the capable, with the goal of making themselves look like a savior to those of influence.

Sound like anyone we know? It starts at the top, and is also a lesson that has been well learned throughout the ranks in Manassas.

Employees who read this thread and expect their lives to miraculously change are setting themselves up for disappointment. Just because you work in a place that is lead through fear doesn't mean that you have to endure the fear. A decision to take no action is a decision and a choice. Your choice, your desire. Put your feet where your keyboarding is and put ATCC into your past or own up to the reality that you feed off the fear.
