That is true. This was announced one year ago. Hematology product is outsource to Singapor. No manufacturing in Santa Clara CA. Remaining manufacturing personnel will be laid of in Q3 this year.

I find the postings very interesting here. Especially from those who have worked for Abbott for many years. The manner in which Abbott operates is nothing new. Your first dose of being "Abbottized" usually comes within the first 6 monthes. After the honeymoon phase. So we can all cry about it or dust off and remember this was a choice. All of us had the same choice to walk out the door the same way we walked in. We obviously stayed. Yet we stand here- intelligent people stratching our heads. We should look forward to the next chapter of our lives. Our freedom papers may be the very push we needed to break our own cycles. No Im not in Management, but know a lot of good hard working folks that are being impacted. Including me after 20+ years. However, we all have a choice of how we move forward. I wish us all the best.

I started reading these post after years of being away from the dark satanic fields of ADD, I am amazed that so many of you are so naïve about what has been happening and will continue to happen. Did you really believe the rubbish on the day after each slaughter that implied you were special. Wake up!! If you're not linked to hep/retro, I strongly suggest you consider updating your resume. They got just got me this Teusday. Never expected it. My boss and his boss were very very cold. No small talk. No Thanks for my 15 years of service. They tell you to give your blood, sweat, tears for the company(Miles and his stockholders) but in the end not even a thanks. Very sad indeed.
