LSG continues the slow decline into irrelevance. What should Bio-Rad do? Sell LSG? Slash unprofitable product lines and the people associated with?

Not going well for Q4. LSG in US started a free-shipping promotion in December to pull in as many dollars as possible. If it works they can look forward to another hole to dig out of Q1 of 2010.

Nice thing about BioRad LSG management: they are keep fighting with each other, while forget to lay-off employees for months now!!!

Heard pfd has new division mgr now that JS is gone. Who is it and what do people think of him?

Will they get rid off SEDLI and Proteon this time?

Not sure what will happen in sales and the reorg. I hope I am laid off. I will take my severance pay and have another job in under a month. Another advantage is that I will not have to listen to another 'heartfelt' voice mail from DH thanking us for all our hard work.

Layoffs will come to Hercules very soon.

Not just France. They have laid people of in sales, sales support and IT all over Europe the last couple of weeks.

best to dissolve pfd now that JS is gone. Most of the product lines fit better in other divisions. get rid of all the managers he hired/promoted as they are all his cronies and it will immediately improve the top and bottom line.

Keep in mind LSG annual porfit is around 25 Million, which can go easily to ZERO if couple of new products such as Proteominer beads(expensive to market, yet nobody is interested) launched.
