That would be like clicking on a dirty link and getting a free trojan horse. Just press delete and move on. There are no second thoughts on the matter. Barely even first thoughts. Just move on, cock in hand, and get ready to let the red and beige loose on the entire range.

.... Or.... Let them go work for fisher cleaning toilets..... then just sack them anyway. Unless its the ion torrent ones. You could give them a chance.

That's old

That's old news.
Kimberly-Clark Corp announced on Tuesday its purchase of the anesthesia business of Life-Tech, which is a medical device maker based in Texas. The acquisition is comprised of needles, catheters and accessories associated with peripheral nerve block procedures. The newly-bought assets will become part of Kimberly-Clark’s Health Care division and will be added to K-C Health Care’s ON-Q array of products. Other business units of Life-Tech are not included in this transaction, the financials of which were not divulged. Shares closed up 1.9 percent on Tuesday at $99.79, and have been traded in a 52-week range of $73.33 to $98.11

"Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc

"Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc (TMO.N) is emerging as the lead contender in an auction for Life Technologies Corp (LIFE.O), a genetic testing maker with a market value of more than $11 billion, three people familiar with the matter said this week.

Thermo Fisher, the world's largest maker of laboratory equipment, is considering a bid of $65 to $70 per share for Life Tech and is interested in buying the entire company, two of the people said.

It can squeeze more cost savings than buyout firms can and is expected to have a leg up on private equity bidders, which do not believe they can still achieve desired returns at that price range, the three people said. Thermo also has an advantage over rival trade buyers, which may not want all of Life Tech or have not been as aggressive in their pursuit of the company so far, the sources said."

Great job, GL. Life stock is

Great job, GL. Life stock is at all time high even though wall street dips. With a beta of 1.27 and a below market ratio of P/E compared to your competitors, Life is certainly a target. Why are the people on this site so angry? Didn't they benefit from the employee stock purchase, stock grants or whatever else?

So it will close at $70 at

So it will close at $70 at best?

"Bids for Life are rumored to

"Bids for Life are rumored to fall somewhere between $13 billion and $15 billion"

Right. $13-15 billion is $77-88 a share. Be surprised at the low end of that range, total shock if it's anywhere near the top. I'd guess that virtually all the premium is already built into the stock price and there's not another 20-30% to go.

Lots of synergies between

Lots of synergies between Life and TMO. Power house. At this price, Life is a steal

What rubbish! TMO will inherit the poison of the workforce. Only way out is to fire everyone and cleanse the company from inside out.

For me, the morale is higher

For me, the morale is higher than ever before. As a result of the transaction, a few smaller companies will be created, and thus more jobs. For example, I used to manage a bunch of testers in Singapore. Now, the job scope expands and I got to manage software engineers as well. It's sort of promotion to a director from senior manager.

Is dat u stephen cheng? Lol

Latest from pre-market: TMO

Latest from pre-market: TMO will secure the deal at 25% premium. Stock will be suspended. Stay tuned.

Why would LIFE spend 18MM and

Why would LIFE spend 18MM and god know how much to lease the SSF facilities while trying to sell the company at the same time? Better to not do anything at all.?

Because on paper you've sold the FC site and can use that revenue to bump up Q1 numbers and then the lease is for 18M, which is spread over 30 years (or whatever large number of years), which only gives minor (relative) hit for the next 120 quarters....That way when the sh1t hits the fan and everyone realizes what a horrible lease it was, you're long gone, right GL?

Here's what I don't get.

Here's what I don't get. Let's say you run a half-decent biotools company. You don't have Apple's P/E or cash stash, but you've got a decent P/E and pay your shareholders dividends. One of the companies that competes with you in many product lines announces very publicly that they're putting themselves up for auction. Why wouldn't you anonymously leak that you're in the bidding war. When their CEO calls, tell him you're working on that bid and it will be there soon. Yes, you'll get it before the deadline. Yes, we're really interested. I know those other guys have dropped out, but we're really in this thing. Then FedEx him a box of dog poo, an offer of 10 cents a share and watch as it turns into one of the true financial fiascos of 2013.

If thermo buys life, life

If thermo buys life, life will have its reputation ruined

Based on what I know, Life probably will not be sold in one piece.

The software and corresponding V&V was restructured this week in Singapore. From now on, there is no division called software V&V. All the synthetic bio staff, including testers and software developers report to me now. Employees working of PCRs or related stuff to another senior manager.

"No surprise there,

Life Tech makes Zimbabwe look well run. GL aspires to running something as well as communist dictatorship.

Maybe all the second rate instruments from life and the second rate equipment from thermo can be smashed up in the same skip and recycled. Thats called streamlining.

That would be a good thing, I've been waiting quite awhile to watch Life Tech disappear into oblivion, seeing some of those assholes in the unemployment line would make my year.

"If thermo buys life, life

Life already has a shitty reputation, if anything Thermo will have to contend with the stench of Life Tech on it.

Management is definately a joke, I think when/if my time comes to be shown the door I'm going to punch a few of my idiot supervisors right in the damn face, but as brain damaged as they already are, would they notice?
