While I am not a fan of MTs management style, it is true that he took a strong stand against moving Commercial Operations to NJ and that without his advocacy it is likely that many people currently employed on the Indy campus would not have jobs.

The whiners in Indianapolis should all take a moment and thank MT for still having jobs there. He was sent to close that place and move operations to New Jersey. MT made the determination that it would have been too costly, approx $1B, to make the move and that those costs might never be able to be recovered. So take your shots as you will but at the end of the day you owe MT your pitiful farmland existence.

He actually reached out to the COO of Roche first, and well, if anyone knows their history it was a stupid idea. He was in Indy a couple of months ago talking to some individuals within Roche. He has about 50-60 scientists on-board throughout the world, but those familiar with him, his work ethic, and his womanizing won't want anything to do with him. Now if they would fire the incompetence that slept with him to get their jobs.

Nice try troll. Roche is ultraconservative when it comes to anything involving the FDA. I know first hand of an instance where a lot came in, a SEVERELY needed assay, and it failed regulatory and was abruptly scrapped. This put supply back over a month. This affected just 1 assay though. The rest were due to a not-so-flawless transition of production.

The delays have not been due to quality, they are because production of TDMs and DATs were moved to Germany from Indianapolis as well as there being a new voice picking warehouse at Indy. And then delays in spare parts are due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan which disrupted the Hitachi factory. Unlike you, I actually work with the customers and you are just blowing smoke. If you do actually work for Roche then I only hope that you are fired soon; you are a weak link.

The clin chem buz split off in 1980 when Roche (BMC) bought Hycel. You're only 31 years behind that news story. Clin Chem has always been separate.

Ran into a Roche financial guy tonight at Seasons 52. Sounds like Roche is split between the diabetes test business and clinchem. Unfortuneately it does not sound good for either businesses. Not sure what to expect next.
