This is not a game of portsmouth versus hopkinton. We are Lonza. A lot of Portsmouth staff have committed half or all of their time to the site. These are quality people just like those in Hopkinton. We are a team, a business. Put the pettiness aside and focus on your own job, making yourself successful and making needed medicine for people. That's it, plain and simple bottom line. Who cares what site is considered the "flagship" site. Why can't all of us just put our differences aside and work together to get this ship pointed in the right direction. It makes no sense to me why folks from both sites need to constantly bicker. We are all in the same boat so lets work together to become successful; it will only be better for all of us in the long run. Of course Lonza wants the potential business in Hopkinton. But unless the plant can manage to release batches successfully, the business won't stay there. If the plant manages to be successful now, Portsmouth people get credit for it, not Hopkinton people. And a 'flagship plant'? You must not have worked anywhere else ever.

No argument there, while the SLT does need some house cleaning they are not all bad some of them are ok and just end up towing the line. Some are rotten to the core but hide it well. That broom rider who runs finance is definately an issue.

I have more of a problem with who these managers allow to stay. People that don't add anything but aggravation to my day, or the ones who clearly do nothing, I don't get it....

When the economy is better it will be interesting to see who stays, among the valued people of course, lord knows the slackers aren't going to leave their gravy train

Only those not in with he golden circle were handed it with no bone. They were probably told the company is "hurting" finacially and we "all need to wear extra hats" to get through this.

The global people are still putting in a tough 4 hour work day so we should be out of the "hole" soon. What a farce this all is, hopefully the next "re-org" takes out some of the SLT, it's overdue.

Not all of the 'Head' positions are directors. Some of them are just potential promotions. The reorg had a bunch of people slotted into positions that should have been posted instead and had other people given big chunks of responsibility with no promotion or other remuneration.

Head of a department = Manager/Associate Director Level.

With all the money we dumped into this place and the people we lost because of it, it better not be sold. The place is a mess, no one would but it anyway.

He's back in Portsmouth if you can call it being back, He strolls in a couple times a week but mostly still a layabout but he's in good with the SLT so there's no real expectation for him to perform.

Things are getting better in hopkinton, thanks to the hard working dedicated employees that have been there for years. The new SLT just has to back off and not screw it up! Hopkinton is NOT Portsmouth, all rules cannot apply the same. If the SLT can get it this time around, we will be fine.
