The Metabolic Origins of Disease symposium will showcase groundbreaking research into the metabolic basis of a broad spectrum of diseases by 24 internationally renowned scientists. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with thought leaders who are spearheading efforts to expand our understanding of metabolism. A key focus will be on leveraging newfound insights to develop novel therapeutics and diagnostics targeting a range of diseases for which altered metabolism is an integral feature.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is January 10, 2014. You must be registered for the symposium to submit an abstract.
There will be a half-day workshop focusing on state-of-the-art approaches to human metabolic phenotyping. The workshop will be held at the nearby Florida Hospital – Sanford-Burnham Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes.
Registration for the workshop is limited to 40 attendees.
